Google Search Product Pricing and Store Details
Google Search now provides pricing history and detailed store information for specific products directly within the search results.
How to Access
When viewing a product, clicking on the three dots in the product’s secondary overlay opens a third-level overlay displaying:
- Price history for the product
- Specific details about the product in that retailer’s store
- Additional store-related information
Background and User Experience
This feature was noticed and shared by Derek Perkins on X, highlighting that while the right panel product viewer existed previously, the new third-level overlay adds more granular data for each retailer.
Although accessing this data requires multiple clicks, it offers valuable insights, especially for expensive purchases like washers or dryers.
Additional Notes
Users have observed that this data has been available for several months, but only recently has it been presented visually with enhanced history and metadata, such as the product entity’s KGMID.
