Linkedin’s Adds More Video Ad Options, Including ‘First Impression Ads’

06/04/25

LinkedIn Enhances Video Advertising with First Impression and Advanced CTV Ad Features

Introduction of First Impression Ads for Maximum Visibility

First Impression Ads are LinkedIn’s new full-screen, vertical video ads designed for single-day campaigns. These ads guarantee placement as the first video seen by users each day, offering prime exposure right at login. This format is ideal for promoting major releases and capturing attention when users are most engaged.

Expansion of Reserved Ads for Sponsored Content

LinkedIn is also launching Reserved Ads for other Sponsored Content types, such as Thought Leader Ads, Single Image Ads, and Document Ads. These ads secure the top slot in the feed, helping marketers boost brand visibility and share of voice by ensuring premium placement.

Enhanced Connected TV (CTV) Ad Capabilities

  • LinkedIn’s CTV Select offering now includes Paramount alongside NBCUniversal, expanding access to premium streaming inventory.
  • Paramount is available in both basic and CTV Select tiers, enabling more targeted and exclusive reach.
  • Integration of VAST tags powered by Innovid improves ad compatibility across devices and platforms, maximizing display performance.
  • Collaboration with Sprinklr introduces LinkedIn’s first CTV API, allowing users to create, edit, and manage CTV ad campaigns directly within Sprinklr’s platform.

Streamlined Video Content Creation with Adobe Express

LinkedIn has partnered with Adobe to provide LinkedIn-optimized video templates within Adobe Express, simplifying the creation of professional video content tailored for LinkedIn’s platform.

Why Video is Critical for B2B Marketers on LinkedIn

  • 91% of B2B marketers cite grabbing audience attention as their biggest challenge.
  • 66% believe not investing in video risks losing competitive advantage.
  • 77% agree that short-form video builds trust with their audience, aligning with broader content consumption trends.

These insights highlight the growing importance of video advertising on LinkedIn and the strategic value of the new ad formats.

Availability

LinkedIn’s CTV Ads are available globally for targeting buyers in the U.S. and Canada. The First Impression and Reserved Ads will roll out globally later in the year.
